My Thoughts
A lovely read that had me smiling quite a bit, Let the Games Begin! Is a story about overcoming obstacles and working hard to achieve your dreams. It's an excellent read for young girls who are insecure about their dreams and desires. One aspect of the book I thoroughly enjoyed was Lucas' support for Clara. When a snobby squire named Gilbert dismisses Clara's talents simply because she's a girl, Lucas stands up for her. It's a refreshing and heartwarming take on friends supporting each other and another example of the beautiful friendship between Lucas and Clara.
