Adventures in Flatfrost by Jordan Quinn (#5 in The Kingdom of Wrenly series) - Rapid Review
Synopsis
“After thoughtlessly melting all the ice in the castle, Prince Lucas and Ruskin must face the consequences. The king sends them to Flatfrost to fetch more ice from the giants who live there. High in the snowy mountains, Lucas, Clara, and Ruskin find help among a group of unlikely friends, and learn what hard work goes into cutting the ice that so easily melts.”
My Thoughts
Prince Lucas and Clara’s next adventure, The Adventures in Flatfrost, is a heartwarming and introspective tale. Unlike the previous installments where our two heroes have an external problem to resolve – usually helping the kingdom or saving the day, Adventures in Flatfrost is a story that is internally focused, with personal development as the primary focus. It’s essential in any story to have the characters, especially the protagonists, grow and evolve; this book does that beautifully. It’s a nice change of pace from the previous installments.
