Beneath the Stone Forest - Rapid Review

Beneath the Stone Forest by Jordan Quinn (#6 in The Kingdom of Wrenly series)

Synopsis

“Clara invites Prince Lucas on her journey to map out the Stone Forest and visit the gnomes who live there. Unfortunately, Lucas has a visiting cousin who’s a royal pain and doesn’t want to get her hands dirty. But when Princess Bella’s puppy get lost in the tunnels beneath the Stone Forest, she realizes that the people who make up the kingdom are just as important as their rulers.”

My Thoughts

Beneath the Stone Forest is a delightful read for book lovers of all ages. For the first time, readers are treated to a tale from Clara’s point of view rather than Prince Lucas’s. The latest adventure in the Kingdom of Wrenly series is about learning – learning about the world around you and how you can grow as a person. At the heart of this story are two essential lessons - treat everyone with kindness and respect & don’t judge a book by its cover – that is wonderfully written. No matter your age, these are values that we should all aspire to.

Memorable Quotes

“How did you get a tower named after you?” asked Lucas.

“Well, I guess you have to do something to help the community,” Pilwinkle said.

“And what have you done to receive such a great honor?” Lucas asked.

Pilwinkle chuckled. “I’ve been the chief gnome for more than fifty years,” he said. “When you’ve been in charge that long, you get a tower named after you. It reminds me to be my best.”

“Then Bella, with her own face smudged with dirt and tears, looked down at Pilwinkle. “I’m sorry I was mean to you,” she said softly.

The gnome smiled and patted Bella on the back.

“I now realize that every member of the kingdom is as important as a royal.”

I’m glad I could help,” he said.
